NLP and Hypnosis
NLP and Hypnosis
Recommended books on NLP and Hypnosis, including Erickson hypnosis
I genuinely believe this to be one of the most comprehensive NLP Bibliography collections on the internet. Please drop me a mail if you think I am missing anything. It incorporates a number of NLP Reading Lists in circulation, as well as the "Classic NLP Texts". This will be a large section, so feel free to browse.
NB bear with me please as it will take a week or so to upload all the books to this page.

Don't quote me, but this is probably the only book I will ever recommend by L Michael Hall. his irritating language and inability to edit his work properly so it's readable frustrates the hell out of me and accordingly he's banned from my bookshelves. But this books is actually useful - it deals with state management and meta-states in a fairly helpful manner, and it is actually readable.

My copy has a great picture of Milton on the front, so shame there's no picture on Amazon...

Hypnosis and how it works. Excellent extension of Ericksonian techniques and NLP. It is amazingly good, and a must read for anyone involved in hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy is taking on a new importance in our time. Thinking differently, more effectively can help one recover from the bumps in life. Understanding hypnosis and using some of the concepts surrounding hypnosis can allow one to achieve more as well as maintain a positive example for other people around. Learn about hypnosis and how to influence yourself and others from Milton H Erickson, one of our era’s most influential hypnotists. His use of ‘teaching tales’ not only retains the attention of the readers, they also provide surprising examples and even a bit of humor.

As a secondary companion book to Heart of the Mind, this book builds on the principles and technology presented in the previous book. The authors present the material in this book similarly to the written roadmap. To accomplish the various habit changes, the reader will have to take the time to understand themselves and what needs to be changed and then make the changes. While NLP may seem a bit dry and technological, you will also find that many of the things in our environment and lifestyle are equally as dry and step by step oriented. Dieting for instance, requires the same sort of detail. You must reduce calories, eat differently, exercise and you will loose weight. Similarly, if you wish to eliminate compulsions, build your self esteem, become less vulnerable to others and learn to keep a deadline, follow the concepts in this book and you will accomplish those tasks.
